Manually cut nano sim card and damaged tray

Normally I read all the instructions but no... not this time. I missed the warning on the back of the phone explaining that a manually cut nano card will hurt the tray. :( Now, when I insert a sd card (any sd card) either it does not find it either it says "damaged toshiba sd card, touch to fix". But format won't work, an error "unable to unmount" appears. Now I changed my nano sim card for a genuine one (I could not before, I was abroad), but it does not change anything. I though to write about my experience to warn others and also maybe someone knows if there is a way to fix it?
