Logitech launches new MX Master mouse and mechanical keyboards

Logitech has introduced a few new members of the MX Series of products, including the new MX Master 3S mouse and the MX Mechanical and Mechanical Mini keyboards. The new mouse delivers additional focuses on improved comfort compared to the already excellent MX Master 3, while the keyboards are the first-ever mechanical keyboards in the MX series.

All three devices support both Bluetooth and also come with a Logi Bolt receive so you can connect to your devices in whatever way you prefer. They also support customizations via Logitech’s Logi options+ software.

One of the big improvements in the Logitech MX Master 3S is that it has a new 8,000 DPI sensor, which is double what the MX Master 3 offered. Just like that one, Logitech says this sensor can track on most surfaces including glass, and it’s more suited for high resolution monitors where you may want to move your mouse more quickly. The mouse buttons have also been upgraded to be 90% quieter, so you don’t have to be distracted by click sounds while working.

Aside from that, this keeps what made the original MX Master 3 so great – it features Lofitech’s MagSpeed Electromagnetic wheel that can scroll up to 1,000 lines per second, in addition to a horizontal scroll wheel on the side. It’s also designed to be ergonomic for long periods of use. There are no left-handed options, but Logitech recently launched the Lift vertical mouse, which may be more suited to your needs.

For keyboard enthusiasts, Logitech also announced the first mechanical keyboards ever to grace the MX lineup. Simply called the MX Mechanical and MX Mechanical Mini, these new keyboards are aimed at those looking for the feel of mechanical key switches in a productivity keyboard. The regular MX Mechanical is a full-sized keyboard, including a number pad, isolated arrow keys, and everything you’d expect. The MX Mechanical Mini comes in compact 65% design, giving you just the essentials for typing and navigation.

Both of the keyboards use low-profile mechanical switches, with the default option being Tactile Quiet Brown switches. In some markets, you’ll also get the option for Clicky Blue switches or Linear Red switches. The keycaps themselves are dual-colored to make it easier to identify which keys are which in your peripherals view.

The keyboards also include smart backlighting with automatically adjust the brightness based on ambient light, including the ability to turn off completely when it’s not needed. The backlight turns on when your hands approach the keyboard, so it’s always ready to go. You can also customize backlighting effects and other settings using the Logi Options+ software.

NVIDIA showcases Grace reference designs with its first Arm CPU at Computex 2022

NVIDIA went mum on new GeForce announcements at Computex 2022, but it did showcase some new reference designs powered by its first Arm CPU. The first wave of systems with NVIDIA Grace CPU Superchip and Grace Hopper Superchip will ship in H1 2023. These new reference designs will be used to power a new class of data center systems for high-performance computing (HPC), cloud graphics and gaming, and more.

According to NVIDIA, these new systems will co-exist alongside its existing lineup of server systems. This means the company will continue to support x86 processors from AMD and Intel, at least for the foreseeable future. The NVIDIA Grace CPU Superchip is the CPU-only Arm chip that combines two processor chips connected through Nvidia’s NVLink-C2C interconnect technology. There’s also the Grace Hopper Superchip which combines a Hopper GPU and the Grace CPU on a single board using the same interconnect technology.

NVIDIA says the Grace CPU Superchip will be the fastest processor on the market when it ships in early 2023. With two Grace CPUs in tow, the NVIDIA Grace CPU Superchip will offer up to 144 high-performance Arm V9 cores and an impressive 1TB/s memory subsystem. It has partnered with dozens of OEMs that are already working on building various systems based on one of NVIDIA’s four reference designs. These servers will be made available in 1U and 2U form factors with air and liquid cooling systems.

As you can see, the CGX systems for cloud graphics and gaming applications will use the dual-CPU Grace Superchip paired with the company’s A16 GPUs based on its Ampere architecture. Similarly, the OVX servers designed for digital twin and omniverse applications also use the dual-CPU Grace Superchip. However, these systems appear to be more flexible with different GPU pairings. Lastly, the HGX platform will be available in two flavors, one of which will use the dual-CPU Grace Superchip while the other will embrace the Grace CPU + Hopper GPU Superchip combination for AI training and other HPC tasks.

The dual-CPU HGX Grace CPU Supechip will support up to 1TB of LPDDR5x memory with up to 1TB/s of memory bandwidth. The HGX Grace Hopper Superchip, on the other hand, will provide 512 GB of LPDDR5x memory, 80GB of HBM3, and up to a combined 3.5 TB/s of memory throughput. The Pixel Watch stops by FCC, reveals an LTE model and USB-C charging cable

At Google I/O 2022, Google officially confirmed the existence of the Pixel Watch. At this point, we know pretty much all key details about the upcoming smartwatch, including its chipset, battery capacity, connectivity, etc. A few more details about the Pixel Watch have surfaced ahead of its official launch.

Three models of the Pixel Watch have been spotted on the FCC website, revealing some new tidbits about the smartwatch. According to the regulatory listing, the GQF4C model offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, while the GBZ4S and GWT9R have LTE support. The listings also reveal details about LTE bands. The GBZ4S supports three bands: LTE Band 5, 7, and 26. Meanwhile, the GWT9R supports ten bands: LTE Band 2, 4, 5, 12, 13, 17, 25, 26, 66, and 71.

Another interesting piece of information revealed by the FCC listing is that the Pixel Watch will have a USB-C charging cable. It will be the same magnetic charging puck that we have seen on the Galaxy Watch 4 and other watches, but the other end of the cable will have a USB-C port. In theory, this could mean that users could just plug the cable into their smartphone to charge their Pixel Watch.

Finally, the regulatory listing reveals that the Pixel Watch will be manufactured by Taiwan’s Compal Electronics, the same company that makes the Apple Watch.

According to a recent report, the Pixel Watch will be powered by the Exynos 9110 dual-core chipset and a Cortex-M33 co-processor. The chipset will reportedly be paired with 1.5GB RAM and 32GB internal storage. The smartwatch support a full array of Google features, including Google Assistant and Google Pay Tap to Pay. It will run a new UI of Wear OS, offering a more fluid navigation experience and smart notifications.

The Pixel Watch is set to launch officially this fall alongside the Pixel 7 and Pixel 7 Pro.

OnePlus 10 Pro and Nord N10 pick up May 2022 security update

OnePlus recently opened up the Android 13 beta program for the OnePlus 10 Pro, allowing power users to try out an early version of the new software. While it will be a while before Android 13 makes its way to everyone, the company is rolling out a new stable update to its 2022 flagship, bringing updated security patches and optimizations.

OxygenOS A.15 for OnePlus 10 Pro

OnePlus has started rolling out OxygenOS A.15 to the OnePlus 10 Pro. The latest update fixes several bugs and issues, including a music playback issue with the Bluetooth car kit and a noise issue in audio recordings. In addition, the new build addresses the camera’s tendency to overexpose some HDR photos, optimizes phone call quality, and bums the security patch level to May 2022. OnePlus initially seeded the A.14 build, but it was quickly rolled back for some reason. OnePlus then issued the A.15 build, which has the same changelog.

Meanwhile, the mid-range OnePlus Nord N10 is also getting the May 2022 security update with OxygenOS 11.0.6. It’s a minor update that doesn’t add new features or improvements.

New OxygenOS updates have started rolling out in batches to the OnePlus 10 Pro, OnePlus 9RT, and OnePlus Nord N10.
