Amazfit Bip S with 40-day battery life launching in India on June 3

At the CES 2020 trade show earlier this year in January, Huami unveiled the Amazfit T-Rex smartwatch, Amazfit Bip S fitness tracker, Amazfit PowerBuds, and the Amazfit ZenBuds wireless. For the unaware, the Amazfit Bip S is a follow up to the Amazfit Bip, which was launched back in 2018, featuring new internals but without any noticeable changes in terms of design. The lightweight fitness tracker is now finally making its way to the Indian market, according to a recent press release shared by the company.

The Amazfit Bip S is an affordable fitness tracker that packs in a 1.28″ transflective color display with a 176 x176 resolution. It features a BioTracker PPG Bio-tracking Optical Sensor, a 3-axis acceleration sensor, and a 2-axis geomagnetic sensor for all your fitness tracking needs. The fitness band also includes support for Bluetooth 5.0/BLE and packs in a 200mAh lithium-ion polymer battery which is rated to provide 40-days of battery life on a single charge.

Just like other Amazfit smartwatches, the Amazfit Bip S features the Huami-PAI health assessment feature which makes use of data about your physical activity over the last seven days to show a PAI score. The company claims that maintaining a PAI score of more than 100 ensures a healthy lifestyle and reduces the chances of cardiovascular diseases. To help you stay in perfect shape, the fitness tracker is equipped with 10 sports modes — Treadmill, Outdoor running, Walking, Indoor cycling, Outdoor cycling, to name a few.

It’s also worth noting that the Amazfit Bip S has a similar ODM design as the upcoming Realme Watch, leaked images of which recently surfaced online. Since the Realme Watch is making its way to India, it makes sense for Huami to launch the Amazfit Bip S in the country. The Amazfit Bip S will be available for purchase in India starting from June 3, but we currently have no word on the pricing. We expect the watch to be priced around the ₹5,000 mark, based on its international price of $69.90.

NVIDIA adds Divinity: Original Sin and 16 other games to GeForce NOW

NVIDIA’s GeForce NOW game-streaming service enjoys its share in the now-crowded game streaming market on the fact that it was one of the first to appear for end consumers. The service started beta testing for Android last year and opened up for everyone in February. NVIDIA had pledged to announce new games for GeForce NOW every week, and over the past weeks, it has kept to that promise on multiple occasions. In May, NVIDIA added 19 games in the first week, and another 18 in the second week, to its cloud gaming library. For this week, we get 17 additions to the growing game library on GeForce NOW.

GeForce NOW  incorporates technology that utilizes AI and RTX GPUs to enable “the next generation of performance and visuals”. It’s NVIDIA’s improved deep learning neural network that “boosts frame rates while generating beautiful, sharp images for games”. Since the base technology is game streaming, games begin playing instantly when you fire them up. They also include an experience that has been optimized for cloud gaming and includes Game Ready Driver performance improvements, managed directly by NVIDIA.

The original LG G8 ThinQ received its Android 10 update back in December 2019 while the “Dual Screen” compatible LG G8X ThinQ is scheduled to get its Android 10 update in Q2 2020. Now, owners of the Sprint LG G8X ThinQ will be glad to know that the device is receiving its dose of Android 10 through an OTA update.

Carrier models usually face delayed updates compared to their unlocked counterparts, but the recent Android 10 update rollout for the AT&T LG V40 ThinQ and the current rollout for the Sprint G8X are indeed some noteworthy exceptions. Despite no official announcement, multiple users on our forums confirm that they have received the OTA. The new build brings the usual Android 10 goodies such as full-screen gestures and system-wide dark mode. We don’t know the Android security patch level at this time, though. LG has also published the Android 10 kernel source for this variant (LM-G850UM9) on their code repository which corresponds to software version G850U20a.

That’s not the end of the story, though, as the Korean OEM decided to release the Linux kernel source code for the upcoming Android 10 updates for two more devices – the LG V35 ThinQ (LM-V350N/NO/NOS) and the LG V50s ThinQ (LM-V510N/NX/NOX). Both of them should receive their taste of Android 10 pretty soon as per the latest update timeline published by LG.

Android 10 kernel sources for LG Stylo 6

Lastly, we have the kernel source code for the yet-to-be-announced LG Stylo 6. The upcoming mid-ranger made headlines in the last few days as well-known leaker Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) shared a render of this phone. Interestingly, the alleged model number of the LG Stylo 6 (LM-Q730xx) has a striking similarity with the Korean variant of the LG Q70 (LM-Q730N).

LG Korea has announced the availability of the stable Android 10 update for the LG G7 ThinQ (software version: G710N30d/G710NO30d) and the LG V50s ThinQ (software version: V510N20e/V510NO20e). The combined changelog is listed below.

Shortly after the kernel source release, the LG V35 ThinQ’s Android 10 update started rolling out for the AT&T variant (LM-V350AWM). The build number of the current software version is V350AWM30c. AT&T’s own tracker has not been updated yet.

OPPO Find X2 Pro, Neo, and Lite are now available in Germany with free Bluetooth audio accessories as bonuses

OPPO was expected to debut its Find X2 series at the MWC 2020 trade show earlier this year. However, due to the rising COVID-19 concerns, the event was canceled and OPPO postponed the launch to a later date. The Find X2 and Find X2 Pro were then revealed early in March this year, with the OPPO Find X2 Lite joining the lineup later in April. Now, according to a recent report from GSMArena, the company has launched the Find X2 Pro and Find X2 Lite in Germany, along with the new Find X2 Neo.

Out of the three devices, the OPPO Find X2 Pro (first impressions) is the only Snapdragon 865 powered flagship which features a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a triple camera setup with a 48MP Sony IMX689 primary sensor, 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 512GB of UFS 3.0 storage.

 

The OPPO Find X2 Lite, on the other hand, is a rebranded Chinese Reno3 Vitality Edition featuring Qualcomm’s mid-range Snapdragon 765G chip, 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and a quad-camera setup with a 48MP primary sensor. The device features a 6.4inch FHD+ AMOLED display and a 4,025mAh battery with support for 30W fast wired charging.
