Samsung's Galaxy Note 7 battery recall process is currently underway, but we haven't been made aware of its financial impact until now. Samsung has announced they would like to recall all 2.5 million units that were shipped since launch. If all the units are returned, analysts estimate it could cost Samsung up to $1 billion. Which is actually only 5% of Samsung's estimated net income for the entire year.
HTC is teasing an upcoming smartphone launch that is scheduled for September 20th. It includes the hash tag BeEdgier, and the company is slowly teasing various parts of the device. It's rumored that this event will be for the upcoming HTC Desire 10, 10 Pro, and 10 Lifestyle devices, but the company hasn't made anything official just yet.
